Hello parents, teachers and of course class of 2018! I can not believe that we are so close to going to high school. I also cannot believe how fast we grew. It feels like just yesterday we were the miniscule 5th graders of the school. Now we are the gargantuan role models of the school. Soon to be gone. The eighth graders have so many memories here at GMS and Hynes. We had a lot of fun at all the field trips we went on. We will never forget the awesome teachers and the things they have done for us. All the teachers at Hynes and GMS have helped us even in the toughest times. These teachers always challenged us to do better and make us shine brighter. I can tell that all the incoming students moving a grade up will have great teachers to teach them and help them learn. Students that are coming, be nice to you teachers and they will be your best friends. I hope all the teachers will stay and teach here at GMS and Hynes forever. Here are some ways of how to not prepare for the parcc test. One way is tune out the teacher when they are doing parcc practice with you. Another way is don’ Show up to school on parcc practice days and the actual parcc test. When you are doing the parcc just put random answers on the paper or just simply recycle the parcc test and/or rip the test in half. These are some reasons how to skip the parcc.

In the statement that Erika says you need to always choose love reminds me of a story of when I was small. It was my birthday and I got a really cool remote control car. My sister was jealous and she sat on it. She cracked the plastic. I got so mad, I had not gotten a gift receipt or something. I wanted to go and rip all my sisters Barbie dolls up, but I thought to myself and I forgave her. From now on I always think to myself choose love and forgive.

When my mom always tells me the story of this picture I always think why was I so bad. In this picture I was playing in the living room of my parents apartment. I was walking around the plant and I pulled it down. When it fell down I started crying because I got scared. My mom told me that she barely took the picture because she laughed so hard, even when I see the picture now I laugh. I was a bad baby. I remember when I took this picture like it was yesterday. It was the first time I took my bunny home. He was so excited to be in the back yard, he loved my moms flowers and plants so much, we even played hide and seek. His favorite food was carrots. My mom always got mad. He was the cutest pet I ever had.

Home is a place where you feel love and that people care about you. Home is where you have safety. Home doesn't necessarily mean you need to have a big house. For Daniel in Daniels story he didn't have a big house but his family showed love to him. Home isn't necessarily a place, you can be in another house to make it home. As long as you have people loving and caring about you, you can make any place your home.

As the policeman pulled the sheet off, I knew I was kinda guilty. Let me tell you why. It was just an ordinary day for me, until I noticed a lady being followed by a strange man with a hoodie. As I continued to follow the man down the dark alley, he surrounded the lady and pulled out a blade. I then remembered my navy seal instincts, I grabbed the 2 by 4 next to the garbage and whacked the man on his head. As the woman thanks me for saving her life, I think of the possible outcomes to tell the police. I take the body and put it in my truck by the restaurant. I get to the police station and explain what happened. The policeman pulled the sheet off, once I saw his expression I knew I was in big trouble. The policeman grabs me and handcuffs me. I knew I was going to jail. All that matters is that the woman is safe.

The movie October sky is a great movie to watch. It may be sad in some parts but it shows a lot of perseverance in the movie. The main character Homer Hickham sees sputnick a drone that the Russians launched in space October 5, 1957. Homer seeing that drone inspired him to be a engineer in rocket building. Homer had to persevere in a lot of ways but spoiler alert in the end his dreams came true. This movie is a great movie to watch and it might get you crying.

I will never forget my gift for Christmas last year. When I opened the box I was surprised by what I saw. There was a blanket, then some pasta, brownie mix, vegetable cans and another gift at the bottom of the box. I knew it was a prank. I unwrapped that gift and it was a soap bar box. I was not expecting that to happen, so I opened the soap bar box and there was another gift wrapped in it. I unwrapped the gift and there was an iPod touch. I had been so excited and surprised at the same time. That was the best gift prank ever and that is why I will never forget that present and that hilarious moment.

I'm sitting on my couch watching TV with my sister and drinking hot chocolate. I have so much to be thankful for. 1. I am thankful for my health and being able to serve and help out 2. I am thankful for my parents because I always have somebody to go to when I need help 3. I am thankful for my sister because she always keeps me company 4. I am thankful for my school and teachers because I can have more knowledge and have a better future  5. I am thankful for food, water, and shelter because  they keep  me alive 6. I am thankful for my community members because they are always there for us when we need help 7. I am thankful for my neighbors because they are always nice to me 8. I am thankful for my friends because in the weekends we hang out and have fun together  9. I am thankful for my grandma because she always gives me a lot of candy  10. I am thankful for my grandpa because he always makes me laugh

My favorite holiday in the whole earth is Christmas. I get presents, I get to stay up late, and the most important thing of all is I am with my family. What I love about Christmas is the snow. You get to play in it, make snowmen then beat them up, have huge awesome snowball fights with your friends. For Christmas my mom usually makes a big party. All of my friends, cousins, and family come over to have fun. I will never let my mom stop making her parties, if she does I will never forget all the fun moments about Christmas.

My name is David and my favorite color is blue. I am thirteen years old and I am in 8th grade. I love to sleep and I am Romanian. I have one little sister. One hobby I have is to bake. My mom has a 100 some page book of dessert recipes, I love to bake all of them. My second favorite thing to do is play volleyball with my friends. I am also very smart, I always have very good grades in all my classes. That is most but not all of my identity.

In the book the outsiders we read, I would consider my self mostly Ponyboy because I like watching movies, I have good grades and I get carried away easily. In some ways I could also be like Johnny, I sometimes have something to say but I keep it inside to myself and I never say it out loud. I could be like Darry because I am strict and I make myself do my homework from school. I also always think when I don't want to do my homework about how it will effect my future. I am also funny sometimes so that means I am the one and only Two-Bit. Even though I am not one persons personality that's what makes me and others special.

My favorite food is and was my moms Romanian style pizza. My favorite things to put on it is tomato sauce, salami, corn, basil for the nice taste, and mozzarella cheese. The crust and the middle is as soft as pillows. I like to put hot ketchup on top of the pizza after it is baked. Even when I will be old this pizza will be my favorite food. 

In the future I would want to have a ginormous mansion. I also want to have a beautiful wife and eight children. My job would be as a Dentist and I would make a lot of money. My mom and I would get together and we would bake a lot of desserts. 

In my childhood my favorite toy was the McDonald's cashier sets. I would stay there for hours and play and play I would also make my parents sit on the sofa and I would serve them some meals. When my grandma came to our house and my mom would make food. I would tell my grandma she couldn't eat until she payed. Years later I got bored of the cashier and I donated it to kids that don't have toys. This toy was very special to me because it would make me bond with my parents even more than before.

My passion is organizing. It is relaxing for me. I always help my mom. She can't ever find anything in the house closets and junk drawers. So I spend days organizing and then she can find anything in seconds. I even go during my own time at recess helping my favorite teacher organize.I will never get bored of organizing.

This quote is important to me because everyone deserves to be respected. We may look different but inside we are all the same, we are all humans, none of us are aliens....I think. This is also a good quote because it shows how many kids are not enjoying being a small kid. They are jumping ahead to teenager years. This quote shows how people waste their time. You know nothing is there but you still look. People get so addicted to that thing they forget to do the important stuff they have to do. For example, homework.
